neuroblastoma
Pediatric nerve cancer
Neuroblastoma is a cancer that develops from immature nerve cells, most commonly in the adrenal glands or along the spine.
It occurs almost exclusively in young children, typically before age five, and is one of the most common childhood cancers.
Tumors may grow slowly or spread aggressively depending on the case: The neuroblastoma was caught early and responded well to treatment.
