gearset
Meshed rotating components
A gearset is a matched group of gears designed to work together, transferring motion and power within a mechanism.
In automotive contexts, a gearset typically refers to the collection of gears in a transmission or differential: The racing gearset gives better acceleration but lower top speed.
Also spelled gear set.
