gateways
Passages into places
Gateways are openings or passages that allow entry—literal or figurative.
A gateway is an entrance through a wall or fence, or the structure framing it.
More often, gateway describes something that provides access to a larger domain: a gateway to success, a gateway drug.
In computing, a gateway connects different networks, translating between protocols.
The plural emphasizes multiple points of access: international gateways, payment gateways.
