gasohol

Corn-derived fuel mix

Gasohol is a fuel blend of gasoline and ethanol, typically 10% ethanol derived from corn or other crops.

The term was common in the 1970s and 1980s during early experiments with alternative fuels: The station advertised gasohol as a cleaner-burning option.

Now usually called E10 or simply ethanol-blended gasoline.
