E85

Corn-based gasoline alternative

E85 is a fuel blend containing 85 percent ethanol and 15 percent gasoline, used in flex-fuel vehicles designed to run on it.

The high ethanol content makes it burn cleaner than pure gasoline but delivers fewer miles per gallon.

E85 is sold at dedicated pumps, often at a lower price per gallon than regular gas: My truck is flex-fuel, so I fill up with E85 when I can find it.
