filmer

Person shooting footage

A filmer is someone who films—operates a camera to record video footage.

The term appears most often in skateboarding and action sports culture, where the filmer is the person who captures tricks and runs: Every skate crew needs a good filmer.

Outside these contexts, filmmaker or videographer are more common.
