dump

Where garbage goes

Dump is most frequently a verb about getting rid of things, often in a way that shows no affection for them.

If you dump a boyfriend or girlfriend, you end the relationship summarily.

If you dump your possessions somewhere, you drop them carelessly.

Someone may dump a lot of trash by the side of the road.

It would be more desirable, however, if they took it to the dump, informal for a landfill.

To take a dump is an informal and somewhat vulgar expression for emptying your bowels.
