astonishment
Jaw-dropping surprise
Astonishment is overwhelming surprise or amazement—the state of being stunned by something unexpected or extraordinary.
It implies a momentary inability to process what you're witnessing: She stared in astonishment as the magician made the elephant disappear.
The word suggests intensity beyond ordinary surprise, closer to shock or disbelief.
