czardom

Romanov-era governance system

Czardom is the domain or reign of a czar—the territory under a czar's rule or the period of that rule.

By extension, it describes any realm of absolute authority or dominance: his czardom over the department, the czardom of social media influencers.

Also spelled tsardom.
