objecting
Voicing a disagreement
Objecting is raising an opposition or protest against something.
In legal contexts, attorneys object to questions or evidence they consider improper: Objecting to the leading question, counsel rose from her seat.
More broadly, it describes the act of expressing disagreement or disapproval: He kept objecting to every suggestion we made.
