corgi
Short-legged Welsh breed
A corgi is a small herding dog with a long body, short legs, and large upright ears.
The breed originated in Wales, where two varieties developed: the Pembroke and the Cardigan.
Corgis gained wider recognition as the favored dogs of Queen Elizabeth II.
Despite their size, they're energetic working dogs bred to herd cattle by nipping at their heels.
