Saint Bernard
Massive mountain dog
A Saint Bernard is a very large breed of dog, originally bred by monks at a Swiss hospice to rescue travelers lost in Alpine snowstorms.
The breed is known for its massive size, gentle temperament, and distinctive markings.
Popular imagery depicts them carrying small barrels of brandy around their necks, though this is largely myth.
Their Saint Bernard weighs nearly two hundred pounds.
