clanship
Familial group loyalty
Clanship is the system of social organization based on clans—groups united by kinship, common ancestry, or allegiance to a chief.
The term captures both the structure itself and the bonds of loyalty it creates: The old clanship of the Scottish Highlands.
By extension, clanship describes any strong group loyalty based on shared identity or interests.
