citizenry
A nation's people
Citizenry is the collective body of citizens in a place—the people considered as a political unit: The citizenry demanded answers from their elected officials.
The word has a slightly formal or journalistic tone, often appearing in discussions of civic engagement or public opinion: an informed citizenry, the will of the citizenry.
