unchurched
Outside organized religion
Unchurched describes people who don't belong to or attend any church.
The term is used mainly by religious organizations discussing outreach: Our ministry focuses on reaching the unchurched.
It frames non-attendance as a lack rather than a choice, carrying an implicit assumption that church membership is the norm.
