chimneystack

Brick exhaust column

A chimneystack is the portion of a chimney that rises above a rooftop, typically made of brick or stone.

In British usage, it often refers to the entire chimney structure.

The term also applies to tall industrial smokestacks: The factory's chimneystacks dominated the skyline.
