cherub
Plump angelic figure
A cherub is an angel, specifically one of the winged celestial beings described in religious texts as attending God.
In art and popular imagination, cherubs appear as chubby, rosy-cheeked infants with small wings—a far cry from the fearsome biblical description.
The word commonly describes an adorable child: Look at those cherub cheeks.
Plural: cherubim (formal) or cherubs.
