headstone
Epitaph's stone canvas
A headstone is a stone marker placed at the head of a grave, typically inscribed with the deceased person's name, birth and death dates, and sometimes an epitaph: We visited the cemetery to clean my grandfather's headstone.
The terms headstone, gravestone, and tombstone are largely interchangeable in modern usage.
