carpal tunnel syndrome
Repetitive strain neuropathy
Carpal tunnel syndrome is a condition causing pain, numbness, and tingling in the hand and arm.
It occurs when the median nerve is compressed as it passes through the carpal tunnel—a narrow passageway of bone and ligament in the wrist.
Repetitive hand motions, especially typing, are commonly blamed: I had to get a new keyboard because of carpal tunnel.
