calorimeters
Thermal measurement devices
Calorimeters are instruments that measure heat—the energy transferred during chemical reactions, physical changes, or metabolic processes.
Scientists use them to determine the caloric content of food, the heat capacity of materials, or the energy released in combustion.
The bomb calorimeter measured the fuel's energy output.
