brachycephalic
Broad, shortened head
Brachycephalic means having a short, broad skull—the head is wide relative to its length.
The term appears most often in veterinary contexts describing flat-faced dog breeds like bulldogs, pugs, and Boston terriers: Brachycephalic breeds often have breathing problems.
It also applies to cats, and occasionally to human skull shapes in anthropology.
