Manx cat
Isle-named breed
A Manx cat is a breed of domestic cat originating from the Isle of Man, characterized by its naturally occurring taillessness or very short tail, caused by a genetic mutation.
The breed has a rounded appearance with a compact body, round head, and notably longer hind legs that give it a distinctive hopping gait sometimes compared to a rabbit's.
Manx cats come in both completely tailless varieties, called "rumpies," and those with partial tails of varying lengths.
