Jump or save
Bail out means to rescue from difficulty, especially financial trouble: The government bailed out the failing banks.
It also means to jump from an aircraft in an emergency, using a parachute.
More casually, to bail out is simply to leave or abandon something: I was going to stay late but decided to bail out early.
