astrophotographer
Night sky capturer
An astrophotographer is someone who photographs celestial objects and phenomena—stars, galaxies, nebulae, planets, eclipses, meteor showers.
The practice requires specialized equipment and techniques to capture objects invisible to the naked eye or to render familiar sights like the moon in striking detail: Astrophotographers waited hours for the clouds to clear.
