cloud spotter
Watches formations overhead
A cloud spotter is someone who observes and identifies cloud formations as a hobby or pastime.
The activity combines meteorological interest with contemplative outdoor observation: We joined a group of cloud spotters on the hillside, watching cumulus towers build before the storm.
Cloud spotting has organized enthusiasts who catalog formations and share photographs.
