antler

Stag's bony crown

An antler is a branching bony growth on the head of deer and related animals.

Unlike horns, which are permanent, antlers are shed and regrown annually.

The branches are called points or tines: a twelve-point buck.

Antlers appear in hunting trophies, rustic décor, and folk medicine.
