tines

Sharp utensil fingers

Tines are the pointed prongs of a fork or similar implement.

A dinner fork typically has four tines; a pitchfork has two or three.

The word extends to any slender projecting points: the tines of a deer's antlers, the tines of a comb.

Tine is the singular: One tine was bent.
