prongs

Sharp projecting spikes

Prongs are the pointed projections of a fork or similar implement—the tines that pierce food.

By extension, prong describes any pointed part that sticks out: the prongs of an electrical plug, the prongs of a deer's antler.

A multi-pronged approach attacks a problem from several directions at once: The investigation had three prongs: financial records, witness interviews, and surveillance footage.
