Vickers
Historic arms company
Vickers is a British engineering and arms manufacturing company, historically one of the largest weapons makers in the world.
The name appears in military terminology—the Vickers machine gun was a standard British heavy machine gun through two world wars.
The company later diversified into aircraft, ships, and other heavy engineering before being absorbed into larger conglomerates.
