scratch test
Skin prick assessment
A scratch test is a medical procedure to identify allergies.
Small amounts of potential allergens are applied to the skin, which is then lightly scratched or pricked.
If a red, raised bump appears at the site, the patient is allergic to that substance: The scratch test showed she was allergic to dust mites and cat dander.
