VBA

Microsoft Office scripting

VBA stands for Visual Basic for Applications, a programming language built into Microsoft Office products.

It allows users to automate repetitive tasks and create custom functions in Excel, Word, Access, and other applications: I wrote a VBA macro to format the monthly reports automatically.

VBA code runs within the host application rather than as a standalone program.
