Stamford Bridge

London football ground

Stamford Bridge names two English landmarks.

The original is a village in Yorkshire where King Harold defeated a Norwegian invasion in 1066, just days before losing at Hastings.

The second is the football stadium in west London, home to Chelsea FC since 1905: We're heading to Stamford Bridge for the match.
