St. Louis Cardinals
Gateway City nine
The St.
Louis Cardinals are a Major League Baseball team based in St.
Louis, Missouri, playing in the National League Central division.
One of baseball's most storied franchises, the Cardinals have won eleven World Series championships—second only to the New York Yankees.
The team's dedicated fanbase is often called "the best fans in baseball," a phrase that has become both compliment and gentle mockery: Cardinals fans won't let you forget their eleven rings.
