Sovietism
Marxist state doctrine
Sovietism refers to the political system, ideology, or practices associated with the Soviet Union, particularly its form of centralized communist government, state control of the economy, and one-party rule.
The term can describe either the specific governing philosophy of the USSR or, more broadly, any approach that resembles Soviet-style authoritarianism or collectivism.
Critics often use Sovietism pejoratively to characterize heavy-handed government intervention or suppression of individual freedoms.
The economic policies showed a troubling drift toward Sovietism.
