Reaganomics
Supply-side economic policy
Reaganomics refers to the economic policies of U.S.
President Ronald Reagan in the 1980s, emphasizing tax cuts, reduced government spending on social programs, deregulation, and tight monetary policy to control inflation.
The approach assumed that benefits to corporations and the wealthy would "trickle down" to everyone else.
Critics use the term disparagingly; supporters prefer "supply-side economics."
