Snapchat
Ephemeral picture messages
Snapchat is a social media app where messages and photos disappear shortly after being viewed.
Users send "snaps"—photos or short videos, often with filters or text overlays—that vanish after a few seconds.
The ephemeral design encourages casual, unpolished sharing: She only posts on Snapchat because nothing stays up.
A "streak" is maintained by exchanging snaps with someone daily.
