Six Nations

Haudenosaunee alliance historically

Six Nations refers to the Iroquois Confederacy, a political alliance of six Indigenous peoples in northeastern North America: the Mohawk, Oneida, Onondaga, Cayuga, Seneca, and Tuscarora nations.

The confederacy predates European contact and served as a model of representative governance.

Separately, the Six Nations Championship is an annual rugby union tournament among England, France, Ireland, Italy, Scotland, and Wales.
