Nile crocodile

Deadly river predator

A Nile crocodile is a large freshwater crocodile native to Africa, found throughout much of the continent's rivers, lakes, and marshlands.

One of the largest crocodilian species, it can exceed five meters in length and is responsible for more attacks on humans than any other crocodile.

Nile crocodiles bask on riverbanks during the day.
