KKK

White supremacist group

The KKK, or Ku Klux Klan, is a white supremacist organization in the United States, notorious for terrorism against Black Americans and other minorities.

Founded after the Civil War, the Klan has undergone several revivals, each marked by cross burnings, lynchings, and intimidation.

Members wear white robes and hoods.

The name appears in discussions of American racism and domestic terrorism: The KKK marched through town.
