Judeo-Christian
Shared Abrahamic heritage
Judeo-Christian describes the religious and ethical traditions shared by Judaism and Christianity, or Western civilization as shaped by these faiths: Judeo-Christian values, the Judeo-Christian tradition.
The term emphasizes common ground—monotheism, the Hebrew scriptures, moral frameworks—while glossing over centuries of conflict between the two religions.
Critics note it often functions as a polite way of saying "not Muslim" or "not secular" in political discourse.
