Hudson's Bay

Northern trading company

Hudson's Bay is the large body of water in northeastern Canada, connected to the Atlantic Ocean and Arctic Ocean.

It was named for English explorer Henry Hudson, who sailed into it in 1610 while searching for the Northwest Passage.

The Hudson's Bay Company, founded in 1670 to trade furs around the bay, became one of the oldest commercial corporations in the world and now operates department stores across Canada.
