barter
Trade without currency
Barter is trading goods or services directly for other goods or services, without using money: They bartered furs for ammunition.
The word can describe both the act and the system: a barter economy.
Figuratively, to barter something away is to exchange it cheaply or unwisely: He bartered away his integrity for a promotion.
