Georgia O'Keeffe

Georgia O'Keeffe was an American artist (1887–1986) known for large-scale paintings of flowers, animal skulls, and desert landscapes.

Her close-up floral works, sometimes interpreted as erotic, made her a pioneering figure in American modernism.

She lived much of her later life in New Mexico, whose stark terrain became central to her imagery: The museum has three O'Keeffes.
