CompactFlash

Older camera storage

CompactFlash is a memory card format used in digital cameras and other devices, introduced in 1994.

The cards are larger and more robust than later formats like SD cards, and were long favored by professional photographers for their reliability and speed.

The format has largely been superseded but remains in use for legacy equipment: My old DSLR takes CompactFlash.
