SCSI

Legacy device protocol

SCSI (pronounced "scuzzy") stands for Small Computer System Interface, a set of standards for connecting peripheral devices—hard drives, scanners, CD-ROM drives—to computers.

Developed in the 1980s, SCSI allowed daisy-chaining multiple devices on a single bus.

Though largely superseded by USB and SATA in consumer hardware, SCSI derivatives remain common in enterprise storage systems.
