Carolina Reaper
Record-breaking hot pepper
The Carolina Reaper is a cultivar of chili pepper bred for extreme heat, once certified as the world's hottest.
It has a distinctive wrinkled, scorpion-tail shape and measures over two million Scoville heat units—roughly four hundred times hotter than a jalapeño.
He ate a Carolina Reaper on a dare and immediately regretted it.
