Berkshires

New England hills

The Berkshires is a region of rolling hills and small mountains in western Massachusetts, extending into neighboring states.

Known for cultural institutions, autumn foliage, and weekend retreats from New York and Boston: They have a house in the Berkshires.

The name comes from Berkshire County, itself named after the English county.
