Charles River

Harvard's neighboring waterway

The Charles River is a waterway in eastern Massachusetts, flowing about 80 miles from Hopkinton to Boston Harbor.

It separates Boston from Cambridge and forms the backdrop for Harvard, MIT, and the annual Head of the Charles regatta.

We walked along the Charles River Esplanade.
