Bézier

Designer's control points

Bézier refers to a type of curve defined by control points, used extensively in computer graphics, animation, and design software.

A Bézier curve doesn't pass through all its control points—instead, the points pull the curve toward them like magnets: She adjusted the Bézier handles to smooth the path.

Named for French engineer Pierre Bézier, who developed the mathematics for automotive design at Renault.
