Afrika Korps
Desert Fox's troops
The Afrika Korps was a German expeditionary force in North Africa during World War II, commanded by Erwin Rommel from 1941 to 1943.
The name persists in historical accounts of the North African campaign and references to desert warfare: Rommel's Afrika Korps pushed the British back toward Egypt.
